The short version
- No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools.
- The money records you enter are stored only on your device. We do not have a server and we cannot see them.
- The app contacts the internet for one reason only: to download public currency exchange rates.
Who is responsible
S Wallet is published by Cüneyt Ak, an individual developer based in The Gambia. Contact: ckamilkapp@gmail.com or the contact form.
Data the app stores on your device
To work, S Wallet keeps the following in its private app storage on your phone: your wallets, income and expense records (amounts, currencies, dates, notes, categories), debts and loans (including the names you type for the people involved), payment reminders, your settings, and a few small records such as when your trial started and which gift codes you have used.
This information is never sent to the developer or to any third party by the app. We do not collect it, so we cannot access, share or sell it.
Exchange rates (the only network use)
To convert between currencies, the app downloads public exchange rates from api.frankfurter.dev and open.er-api.com (or similar public exchange-rate providers if these change; this page will be updated if so). These requests contain no personal or financial data from the app. Like any internet request, they reveal your IP address and basic technical information (such as your device's browser engine) to those services, which have their own privacy policies. These standard network requests use your IP address solely so the exchange-rate data can be delivered to your device.
Backups
- Automatic backups inside the app. If you turn this on, the app saves a dated backup copy of your data in its private storage on the device and deletes old copies after the number of days you choose.
- Export. When you export or share a file (JSON or CSV), it goes only where you send it, for example to a file manager or another app of your choice.
- Google backup. Android's Auto Backup may copy the app's data to your Google Account and restore it when you set up a new phone. This is controlled by your phone's Google settings and handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to it. As part of providing that service, Google may process account and device identifiers; this happens on Google's side and is outside the app. You can turn it off or delete those backups in your Google Account settings.
Keeping your data safe from loss
Because your data is kept only on your device, we cannot recover it for you. If the phone is lost, damaged or reset, or the app's data is deleted, your records are gone unless you made a backup (the in-app backup, an exported file, or Android's Google backup). It is your responsibility to keep backups, so we recommend exporting one from time to time or leaving Google's backup turned on.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, S Wallet schedules reminders locally on your phone for payments, loans and debts that fall due. There is no push-notification server, and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Purchases and gift codes
The paid Pro features are purchased through Google Play. Google processes the payment under its own terms, and we do not receive or store your card or payment details. Your Pro status is kept on your device. Gift codes are checked on your device with a cryptographic signature and need no internet connection.
Permissions
S Wallet asks only for permission to show notifications and to connect to the internet for exchange rates. It does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.
Children
S Wallet is a general-purpose personal finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data, no information is collected from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Because the data lives on your phone, you are in control of it. Use Settings → Delete all my data in the app, or uninstall the app. Backups made through your Google Account can be removed in that account's backup settings.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or have any question about this policy, write to ckamilkapp@gmail.com or use the contact form.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
